The IELTS Academic and General Test are both conducted by two organizations; namely, British Council and IDP Australia. The examination dates are pre-decided by both the organizations and are organized on 4 different dates per month. Therefore, in a year there are around 48 different test dates set by the agencies for a candidate to appear for the examination.

The IELTS exam costs for 12,100 for the year 2018 if you book directly from British Council or IDP; however, you can avail yourself of a discount of INR 500 to INR 1000 by booking the exam from New Cambridge College.
