It is often said that whatever is learnt during childhood stays with a person for whole of his life and same is for language and accents. Most of the non-native English speakers would be expert users of English language but while speaking, they would definitely use their own accent. If you wish to make your conversation go easy with a native English speaker or you are curious to talk like them, then there are few steps, in addition to your regular practice and dedication, which would surely help you master <a href=\"https:\/\/newcambridgecollege.com\/spoken-english-classes-coaching-in-chandigarh\"><strong>English speaking<\/strong><\/a> like a native.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Awareness about the number of accents:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-As people of one clan are similar but do have individual\ndifferences, similarly the English speaking community speaks English but with\ntheir own accents. We come across North Americans, South Americans, Irish,\nWelsh, British, and Scottish etc. Every speaker speaks a different type of\nEnglish. Hence, the first step should be to understand difference between these\naccents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Purpose of learning:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Before starting your English speaking practice process,\nrealize the purpose of same. Someone might be learning it just as a hobby where\nas some else might get a dream job with it. Therefore, it is important to\nunderstand the main goal which will direct your efforts towards one side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Master Pronunciation<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Once you are aware of different accents and know the\npurpose of your learning, the next step is to know the correct pronunciation.\nMany words are spoken differently and many sounds are not there in our native\nlanguage. They should be given special attention. One great way to learn the\npronunciation is to imitate the native accent. Movies, TV Shows, web series and\ntutorial videos can help you know a great deal of pronunciation. In addition to\nthis, there are other tutorials which explain lip and mouth movements which\nhelp in actually setting mouth position. At times, it seems to be a laborious\nprocess but a regular practice makes the base strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pace\/Flow of speech:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We might be experts of pronunciation but in real life conversation,\nwe need to speak words in continuation. Hence is the important of having a good\npace of speech. We should learn how to link words or leave words in\ncontinuation like that of native speakers. Let\u2019s take few examples to\nunderstand this better. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A non-native speaker uses expressions like I\u2019m instead of I\nam, he\u2019s instead of He is, don\u2019t instead of do not and so on. Similarly, few\nsounds are missed. E.g.\u2018t\u2019 of next is missed by a native English speaker in the\nsentence \u2013 We should do something for the next generation.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mirror Practice:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Practice pronunciation and flow of English in front of\nmirror. It helps you analyze your performance as early as you can and boosts\nyour confidence. You can also record your voice for a later reference and in\ndetail analysis of the flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Learn slangs and phrases:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Slangs are expressions which are exclusive to a particular\ncommunity and are used in everyday speech. E.g. \u2013 \u2018gonna\u2019, which means going\nto; \u2018Gotcha\u2019, which means got you, and so on.
